Our Commitment

Guardsman Security Services Ltd is committed to conducting business responsibly and to preventing modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and exploitation within our operations and supply chains.

We publish this statement as part of our commitment to transparency and responsible business practices, whether or not the statutory reporting threshold under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 applies to the company in a particular financial year.

Our Business

Guardsman Security Services provides professional security services, including security guarding, mobile patrols, keyholding, alarm response, event security and temporary security cover.

Our workforce and supply chain may include employees, workers, subcontractors, recruitment partners, uniform and equipment suppliers, technology providers and other service providers.

Our Approach to Modern Slavery

We have zero tolerance for modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking, servitude or exploitation.

  • recruit workers through legitimate and transparent processes;
  • verify identity and right-to-work documentation in accordance with UK requirements;
  • avoid charging workers recruitment fees for obtaining work with us;
  • expect wages and working arrangements to comply with applicable employment law;
  • seek to identify indicators of coercion, debt bondage, document retention or other forms of exploitation;
  • raise concerns regarding suspicious employment or labour practices; and
  • expect suppliers and subcontractors to operate responsibly and lawfully.

Recruitment & Workforce Controls

Our recruitment and vetting processes are intended to reduce the risk of exploitation. We seek to confirm that individuals understand the nature of their work, the terms under which they are engaged and how they will be paid.

We do not knowingly engage any person who appears to be subject to forced labour, coercion or unlawful control by another individual or organisation.

Supply Chain & Subcontractors

We expect suppliers and subcontractors to comply with applicable modern slavery and employment legislation. Where proportionate to the relationship and level of risk, we may seek information about labour practices, recruitment arrangements, workforce controls and compliance standards.

Where serious concerns are identified, we may require corrective action, suspend engagement or terminate a commercial relationship.

Raising Concerns

Employees, workers, suppliers and other stakeholders are encouraged to report any genuine concern or suspicion of modern slavery or exploitation. Concerns may be raised with management and will be considered promptly and sensitively.

No person should suffer retaliation for raising a genuine concern in good faith.

Training & Awareness

Relevant managers and personnel may receive information or guidance to help them recognise potential indicators of modern slavery and understand appropriate reporting routes.

Review

This statement will be reviewed periodically and, where Guardsman Security Services becomes legally required to publish an annual modern slavery statement, it will be updated and approved in accordance with the applicable requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
